I can't believe nobody answered this correctly yet. Francerulz touched on it but incorrectly sited God and not GOD INSTRUMENTAL. It only got released in the UK but it's a perfect track.
If you reckon that dosen't count since its an instrumental or just cos it only had a limited release then I can still say your all wrong cos the second best Prince b-side is HORNY TOAD. The rest of em, erotic city, 17 days, shes always sitting in my chair etc. get tired after 100 listens in a row. HORNY TOAD and LOVE THEME FROM PURPLE RAIN don't.

I have always considered Shes Always In My Hair to be the greatest song that never made it to an album. [Edited 1/7/06 15:49pm] http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/ - Prince discography, tour history, news and more.

Escape and Scarlet Pussy are my personal fav's, but you can't really go wrong with any of the 80s b-sides, they're all top drawer.

To give it its due I can still remember where I was the first time I heard 17 days. I played it on a juke box in a chip shop around 1990. I was up to date with all the albums at that stage but I had to go start looking for the rest of the b-sides after that so mabye it was the most important one.
