OK, either this is ASCAP or... I did a search for Prince lyrics and found sites that had lyrics for songs I'd never heard of. Maybe you have heard of these. Here is a link to one site's transcription of an alleged song called "The Old Songs":

Are there songs in there you've never heard of? yeah, that's a Mavis Staples tune but i don't think Prince wrote it he wrote other songs on that same album tho Correct "The Old Songs" is featured on the 1989 Paisley Park album, 'Time Waits For No One' by Mavis Staples. Whilst the album features 6 Prince songs, 'The Old Songs' was not written by him. Basically it is not an accurate list. Some (most) of the songs are Prince-penned, although some feature on other artist albums or are unreleased. There are some songs which have some Prince (non-songwriting) involvement e.g. he has covered the song. And there are some songs on the list which have no Prince connection whatsoever. .
