There are 2 Prince comics - both published by Piranha Music (part of DC Comics) The 1st is Prince: Alter Ego (1991) and is based on a battle between Prince and Gemini. Kind of in a "Purple Rain / Graffiti Bridge" type vibe -it's not a bad read.
The 2nd is Prince & The New Power Generation: Three Chains Of Gold (1994) and perfectly captures the whole of that Mayte Princess era. This is my favourite of the 2 - plenty of costume changes linked to that time (yellow suit looks cool) and the NPG in full effect. There is a good sense of irony in the storytelling 2. Lots of humour and seeing Prince cross a chasm on a tightrope, then cut it halfway through and swing with Mayte "Luke Skywalker style" is hilarious! So, if you have 2 choose, go 4 the 2nd - you'll enjoy it! Everybody is special. Everybody. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. Everybody. Everybody has their story to tell.

Prince featured as the story focus in two comics with different story lines.
One of these, Alter Ego, came in two different sizes, and one of the versions featured a pin badge on the front bearing the symbol. see: http://www.madhousemusic...._1_53.html ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

There us a third Prince comic published in 1991. I'm not sure it was authorized, but it is by far the funniest of the three.
I found one for sale on ebay if anyone wants to see what it looks like. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...=890388652

This comic, from what I recall, came before the other two already mentioned, and I don't think it carried the full Paisley Park seal of approval - but resulted in the other two being produced. The full story is covered in an edition of Uptown together with an interview with the illustrator of the authorised comics.I found one for sale on ebay if anyone wants to see what it looks like. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...=890388652 ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice.
