Sounds great. The B-sides are killer. Truthfully, I'd probably go to any Prince concert, regardless of what he was going to play. (But I might have to seriously consider it if the tour was going to be country or gospel songs.) The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

i'd be thrilled about the prospect of any tour that was 80% non hits
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Wasn't this called the One Night Alone tour? Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

A lot of his after show club performances were like that. When Glam Slam LA was in operation, we used to see Prince perform as often as he'd show up. Many of the songs he'd play were unheard at the time (Poppa, etc.) but we loved it.
Any chance to see him play, I'd go. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/
