R there any recordings of Prince's Dad's music? Not the ones he collaborated with P on but his own recordings.
I would love to here his take on jazz. Any similarities to P. Any recordings of his mom singing.

The "Platinum" bootleg contains the Father´s Song EP by John L. Nelson.
We had a little discussion about his dad´s music here, a few months ago. I like that EP, but I seem to be the only one. Released on some small Mpls record label it contained the songs Yes Again There´d Be No Way For You And I As I Recall Fallin Down No Prince involvement as far as I know, but the vocals ( the "Yes..."part ) in song one sound a bit like Prince. Even though it´s titled Father´s Song it does NOT contain that song in any form. Hope this helps. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
