When was this recorded? I've never heard it.

well, "diamond" and "pearl" rap on it (or is it carmen pretending to be them?), so i'm guessing 1991/early 92?

Cool, never knew about this little side project.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I guess the fact that the vinyl credits them as well is just a decoy then?

Well, it wouldn't be the first time that a Prince project credited people who weren't involved or what not.

Personally, I'v always theorized that Carmen was originally intended to be "Diamond", at least on record, until Prince decided to develop her into something else. I have nothing to base that on, other than the fact that the rapper on "51 Hours" sounds IDENTICAL to Carmen.
