I just wondered as a friend of mine just heard Te amo Corazon
(a non prince fan) and thought it was great ! Normally she dislikes most of his new stuff but likes the new single.
Strange but true !

I noticed that when I see the video, the song sounds better to me. I don't know why that is. But when I heard the song through iTunes, I was a bit disappointed.

Maybe the non-Prince fans who like it actually liked the video first?

The opposite is true for me.

I was expecting my girlfriend to like it - she mainly likes the slow Prince tracks [if she likes any at all!]- but she doesn't care for it much.

Whereas, after initially not liking it much, I now find I'm begining to really dig it. It reminds me of Mellow and She loves me 4 me from TRC which can only be a good thing.

Hopefully the album follows suit - i.e. REAL instruments played by REAL musicians!

I don't know too many fans that like it, never mind non-fans.

I haven't heard it on the radio yet. what station is is normally on?

My wife respects Prince as a musician, but I wouldn't call her a fan. She LOVES Te Amo Corazon. She plays it in the car 3-4 times per day when I'm not there. She's also originally from Russia and plays piano and loves Jazz and Classical music, while she does love other things like Coldplay, she's not your typical american music listener.

This post caught my eye, because I do think the song will resonate with some new fans and also that it will play out over the long run much better than the short run. My wife also thinks this is a song that will be played 30-40 years from now as a Prince classic.

I played it for my 3 best friends and my brother (all non-fams)
and all of them loved it, whereas they don't enjoy most of his other stuff

2 friends (older in their 40's) from my church saw it on VH-1 and said they loved it, saying that it has a very "loving" sound. They also said that Prince is looking better with age and is very attractive.

I myself think that it's a great song and can't wait for the new 3121 album.

Te Amo Corozon is good kinda like Unisom is good....

It doesn't sound like the lead-off single from a new Prince CD. It isn't bad.....Just weak.....

I love Te Amo Corazon and ALL of my non-Prince friends who have heard it think it's great.
