5'6"! no way! lol! I'm also 4'11" and I've stood right next to him on a few occasions...nearly walked right into him once....we both had heels on...he was maybe an inch or 2 taller than me. "not a fan"  yeah...ok | |

I stood about 2 feet away from him as he left a club in San Diego after a hit a run show in 2001 or summin' like that. I've spoke to Morries Hayes TWICE...EXCELLENT CAT! He's extremely cool. I spoke to him in 97 at a show in San Diego and a second time at the aforementioned second show in San Diego in the parking lot of the same club. | |

at the concert the night before that, my step-daughter and i had front row, right where the steps lead down under the stage...when Prince wasnt dissappearing into the floor, he used these stairs so he passed by us many, many times. my step-daugther got to slap hands with him as he came and went...he really did seem so tiny! it was truly shocking. how high were his heels that night? 4 inches? i cant believe he is really that short.... i dont know...she just said he "was wearing the heels". he wore heels off and on during the concert, and i didnt notice what he happened to be wearing at the time, but she did because she was standing next to him, and he still seemed so short. | |

Well, at the Musicology Tour in Nashville, I had good seats, though not as close as I would have liked them of course, lol. He looked over at our section directly at me, and we made eye contact for about 5 seconds. It would'a been longer, but I think the woman sitting down infront of me noticed he was looking in our direction and she got up and blocked our connection! B*TCH! | |

i have gotten his autograph a few times, backstage at the purple rain concert (1st concert ever), lovesexy album autographed at a record store, last year at the musicology concert in cleveland i was backstage and got my custom made purple rain airbrushed jacket autographed. and at one of the rainbow children shows i was on the guestlist and and got my rainbow children album signed (the lyric book anyway) and on the jam of the year tour, i was also on the guest list and after the show, some of us were on stage when they started packing stuff up and i touched the symbol guitar and heard someone say "hey, don't let the boss see you doing that" wow...those 2 autographs are the ones that "seem" so unbelievable. I haven't heard of Prince signing ANY autographs since like...1993 or something.. Prince himself signed your coat??? Is your coat a Ricco special?

lucky person you are...or perhaps...not lucky just...connected? I had a plain denium jacket airbrushed with the head and shoulders of the purple rain cover and added the stud work to the front right shoulder and on the back over top of the artwork, i embrodered purple rain just like the album and also added studs to the shoulder of the art work. the way i got on the guest list, is a friend of mine works at a music warehouse and was asked by the paisley park reps if they were going to the show. and they get added to the list and instead of their name he put mine on it. thank god noituloveR lautiripS weN a fo gninwaD eht si sihT | |

Front row, side seats, at a Wembley Arena gig - the one with Larry and Chaka.
Excellent during support. Got to watch Prince working on the soundboard for Chaka's set. Brilliant watching this man at work.... there's an old interview with Chris Moon when he describes himself and Prince as a octopus working at the mixing desk... it was just like that, Prince and, whoever was doing the sound for the tour, fiddling, lowering levels, upping levels, nodding to each other, smiling. Cool THEN, during his set, I was the only person sat down and bored by YET ANOTHER version of the Purple Rain solo. I think, I may have imagined, I caught his eye... I at least like to think he saw me sat down. He looked a little pissed off and didn't come back to our side of the stage for ages... certainly not for the remainder of the song. Fun times. | |

It felt wonderful.that was too cool. I hope one day I can get a hug.. maybe one day.....

Before, when it was more about feeling and less about knowing...yes, i wanted him more...but, now that I've grown to know him, I admire him for who he is and not what he does. It's not just the music, or the notes that walk beside it....it's the meaning behind the thought behind it. I wonder sometimes who he sees when he looks at himself in the mirror....does his eyes say the same thing to his soul as they do to mine? He's just a soul trapped in a mans body after all....I have often imagined him as a tiny old woman, almost nothing...singing a quiet hymn all to herself....would people make such a fuss at her then? But , as she sings, she looks up at you with those eyes.....It's not how much noise you make....it's what you do with the noise that's made. | |
