WHAAAAAT??? eek That version is AMAZING! Girl, the guitar is killing! It screams so much anger and desperation, there aren't many Prince solos like that.

I'll have to give the solo another listen. But when I hear the song it makes me yearn for the other version shrug

So, did you?

Nothing beats the screaming guitar of the 90's version. It's so intense, so emotional.

This is how I'd rank all the versions:

1. 90's
2. C-NOTE
3. Unreleased
4. Xenophobia Celebration

I'm confused.... Empty Room is a 1985 song recorded with the Revolution right? Apparently it was "updated" in 1995... Then there's the "I'll Do Anything" version... so when you talk about the 90's version, which one do you mean. And furthermore, there are TWO unreleased versions... or am I way of the mark here? confuse

I'm referring to the 90's version with the screaming guitar and Mayte as both an angel and a dancer in the video.

The unreleased version I'm talking about is the two minute long one that's stripped down and very lonely sounding.

Yea! If this song had been included on The Gold Experience, it would have made all the difference, and turned an already great album into a fantastic album.

I like the more Beatle-esque version of this song.
