It's such a narrow question and it's not very open ended.

It's like saying 'What type of person do you go for? Blonde? Brunnette? Tall? Short?

He might feel like he's got to justify himself.

Speaking from personal experience I don't like people asking me about my sexuality because for me it's just about who you fancy. You don't have to justify yourself to anyone.

If people WANT to know who you fancy and what sex - Why do they want to know ?

Yeah I think he's curious and open-minded but I think he might also have a slight fear of being gay.

Especially if he had quite a religious upbringing.

I know for me I was brought up in a house where being gay OR bisexual was seen as weird and that you had something wrong with you or that you could be "cured",

If you're brought up like that it stays with you and may also scare you.

You might live with a sense of fear that it is wrong because it's been ingrained into you.

But also you know that REALISTICALLY there is nothing wrong with it and you still hav questions about who you are.

Being gay shouldn't be considered an insult, but a lot of general society -and by extension, a lot of the fanbase -seems to think it's horrible and degrading to be called so.

Fans that feel the need to defend Prince's assumed heterosexuality either have too much time on their hands or no real social lives of their own to worry about.

It doesn't bother me because I think they say it when they feel threatened or less than who Prince is. My xhusband always called Prince "gay" but he did it because he knew I loved him. Prince could always do to me what no other could. The response that Prince would get from me was phenominal and some men feel the need to put him down. My X felt jealous and always called him gay.
