If anybody in this board has to ask why it's degrading to be gay, you probably need to get out more often. Not only is this American society homophobic, but it's also discriminatory. So what you're reading here is a reflection of that.

That being said, I don't believe Prince is gay. He's the type of artist in which his personal life would seep into his work and we've no indication of any homosexual tendencies. Also, the man has gone on record several times in disputing any rumor that he is gay.

I think alot of people are confused or put off by how artistic and feminine he is; you couple that with the homophobic tendencies WE ALL HAVE (heterosexuals, that is) and of course someone is going to claim Prince a homosexual. He's pretty, lithe, artistic,flamboyant...gotta be gay! Someone who makes that assumption is horribly narrow minded.

And I resent the fact that Prince has to be gay because of his highly artistic nature; Beethoven, Mozart, Davis, Coltrane, Wonder are all artistic and probably more so than Prince, and they weren't considered gay. That's ridiculous to think if your highly artistic, you're gay.

And honestly, if I wasn't myself, prone to some discriminatory tendencies towards a homosexual, I wouldn't even be writing this post...cos who cares at the end of the day, if Prince likes men or not? That has nothing to do with his music.

I think it is human nature to want to explore your own sexuality.

No one is one hundred percent sure about themselves until they have explored various avenues, even if it's only thinking about it.

If that makes sense.

Anyone can be uncertain about their sexuality for various reasons. And at any time in your life

Low confidence with the opposite sex, a feeling of being attracted to the same sex, looking to explore who you are.

Prince is just like evertone else, just trying to find his way in the world and who he is.

The reason I like him is because he's so refreshingly honest about NOT having ALL the answers and stuff.
