thumbs up! I really love the lyrics to this song...especially the line about "don't play me, I already do in my car." That crazy Prince, always reminding us how cocky he is. wink
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Another Song I don't know. Albume? Date? Anything? Info?
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

Indeed. The Truth is a great album. Why he didn't give it a proper release is beyond me, but fairly typical of the silly, idiotic things he was doing back when he had his "freedom" - like suing his fans in between charging them $50.00 for a mail order album they didn't receive until it was already out in the shops for a lot less. lol
There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

It's from The Truth, which was the 4th disc from Crystal Ball in 1998 (all this from the Org's FAQs 'cause I wasn't completely sure offhand.biggrin )

I see why it's called "Don't Play Me". After I heard it, I didn't want to play it any more....or the whole "The Truth" album for that matter.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

The Truth is an odd album but if you really listen to it, it has some great arrangments on it and I wish he would do another one like it.

This is an awesome song.

I friggen love it.

The song is basically based on the premise that Prince is visualizing himself as a large vagina. Prince is basically sayin that if he were a vagina, nothing can touch him--not even himself!

Love it.

'The Truth' and it's piano equivalent 'ONA-solo' are Prince's best albums of the last 15 years. No overproduction, no cheap sounding drummachines, just pure music. That's my opinion!!

Great song...I love most of the TRUTH CD.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
