Anyone seen Prince been mentioned in other artists liner notes as an inspiration?

Only one I can think of off hand is Public Enemy with Revolverlution

Sheena Easton thanks Prince in the liner notes of her 1987 CD - NO SOUND BUT A HEART. She thanks Prince then saying something about "crucial".

In her 1989 CD - THE LOVER IN ME she thanks Prince as well for the 2 songs he wrote and produced for her album.

Joe Satriani - 'Strange' (From Flying in a Blue Dream released in 1989)

He wrote this track in the way that he thought Prince would have done if he wrote the same music !!

Another cool comment once made was that Steve Vai and Joe Satriani both claimed that Prince was in their eyes a great Guitarist.

For those of you who have no idea of Steve Vai and joe Satriani.....They are Guitar Gods of the 1980's !!

Leila K! Man, that's an obscure reference. "Got To Get" was a hot jam in 1990 though...

Yep, they both praise P as a great guitarist and that's a hella compliment coming from them.
