2 Questions about Batman Soundtrack 1)I've heard that Prince wrote some of the songs long before the Batman soundtrack and just rearranged the titles around. I'd love to know which songs these were? Specifics appreciated.
2)The Batman Soundtrack is one of my favorite P albums. Any die-hard fans this question is for you. If that is my favorite album by P, which do you think sounds the most near it? (As far as sound...) Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance I love the batman soundtrack, it was the first P record I bought. The problem is, most of p's albums have a unique sound, so don't expect to find a batman mark 11. The only album that gave me the same sort of feeling was the Gold album, check that out!!

'Vicki Waiting' was originally titled 'Anna Waiting', after his bit of jailbait ass at the time, Anna Fantastic.
Other songs that pre-date the project: - Electric Chair (recorded June '88) - Scandalous (recorded Oct. 88) - Batman Theme (unreleased, but just '19 (Jailbait)' from Madhouse '24' renamed) With regards to what other stuff sounds like Batman, I'll agree with Graffiti Bridge, but also say stuff from a little earlier that was proto-Batman era sounding - Such as Lovesexy, The Black Album, and even the Camille album - all have that sparse funk/house sound - Think something like 'Good Love' or 'Escape' (b-side to Glam Slam). Oddly enough, the Carmen Electra album has a couple of numbers that date back to this era too (Fantasia Erotica, Good Judy Girlfriend). With concerns to out-takes and non-album tracks, stuff from the earlier configurations of Graffiti Bridge and Rave '88 also - 'Rave Un2' of course (was offered for the movie, but rejected), as well as 'Pink Cashmere', and out-takes like 'The Voice Inside', 'God Is Alive', 'Big Tall Wall', 'We Got The Power', 'Mind Bells', 'Bliss', 'Your Love Is So Hard' and the Camille-esque 'Good Man'. I guess also The Time's unreleased 1989 'Corporate World' album (most of which surfaced on either Graffiti Bridge, or their 4th album from 1990, Pandemonium) - and the tracks intended for Jill Jones' 2nd album, Boom Boom..., Flesh & Blood, and My Baby Knows How To Love Me.
