Mer. Say it with me: MER!!! The Mistress has had enough. I can no longer take it. It's The Artist ForMERly Known As Prince. Formerly. As in former. As in used to be. for-mer-ly adv. At an earlier time; once. It is NOT The Artist ForMALly Known As Prince. Not formally. Not formal. Not proper or ceremonious. for-mal-ly adv. 1. with official authorization; 2. in a proper or ceremonious manner. Thank you. I'll just sit back and wait for this to be stickified. how many syllables in "ed-it"? [Edited 12/20/05 8:37am] The Normal Whores Club

See, Prince has been living in Prince-world for so long, he thinks you can take the animal-ness out of brains and make them vegan. ![]() [Edited 12/20/05 8:55am] The Normal Whores Club

There's one in here somewhere. http://www.prince.org/msg/7/170881 I'm not trying to point fingers and make people feel stupid, though, so please don't do that here. In reality, everyone makes mistakes. That's why I made the thread a general statement instead of a personal attack. The Normal Whores Club

I guess I don't read that closely plus it doesn't really bother me. The internet is filled with spelling errors. Thats the nature of the beast.

I guess I don't read that closely plus it doesn't really bother me. The internet is filled with spelling errors. Thats the nature of the beast. Just for the record; I did write "The Artist Formally Known for Prints" b/c that's the name of the article--it's about Yinka Shonibare (a comtemporary artist) not Prince, and Yinka is known in the art world for using printed batik material, hence formally (not formerly) and prints, not Prince. (It's a pun, get it?) Please don't hurt me FunkMistress. [Edited 12/20/05 10:12am] The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
