(see letter to prince by jim walsh). that track is the dope, all fifteen and a half minutes of it. i mean, who else could pull something like that off? i remember back in '98, when so many folx were bitchin about crystal ball -the distribution, the delays, the tracklist, re-mixes, only thirty songs, & c., but in my estimation, baconskin alone made all the frustration worth while. walsh hits the nail on the head when he says that listening to that one only proves how funky and free prince really is. here's a trick i learned: put this track on to scare away any posers. test your friends to see if they are true: if they are still in the room when cloreen baconskin fades out, then that is true loyalty, 2 the 9s:!:
