UGH ... must u remind me ... though i do agree with IrishEcho 2 some extent I'd still like 2 mingle with other fans ... hey the man is entitled 2 views though, condeming is a harsh word ... but Prince does dive deeper than one quote 2 support his 'Abraham is a racist theory' ... do people not listen these days ... ?? Songs r not just music noodling they r experiences, teachings, prophecies ... Prince takes it so seriously and glad at that, it wouldnt be right 2 sanction everything. Bah anyway i wont let little things make me go sour, the song doesnt put the nail 2 the coffin in my opinion ... but i would love 2 be there ... 'paisley park is in your heart'

Me! In Dusseldorf.

I took a gamble on hoping England would go further in the world cup and decided to miss the celebration this year.

As it turned out, England lost, Germany are still in it much to my disdain, and here I am, sat at work IN Germany wondering why I would have taken such a far fetched and downright preposterous gamble.

Never mind. Gonna go and watch Ani Defranco and Maceo Parker at the jazz fest here next weekend. A small consoltaion.

Honey I aint at the celebration because I have to work. I'm always interested in looking the part and to look the part it'll take money. I will attend however a later in the future event that will be held for one day if any. That way I will not say I hope it'll never end and developed an attachment to any event. The celebration attendees all have to go back home sometime and to my Prince.org family who attended the celebration being held this week. I just want to say your all in my Prayers to make it to and from the destinations you choose while traveling and having a good time safely.

Yeah, me too, webmaster of TheDetroitCrawl.Org. I just got done with reserve weekend duty here in Michigan. June 22-23 was my reserve duty, and because of that I was not able to meet many of the web moderators and group leaders from newpowernetwork's meet-n-greet on Sunday.

As well finances this past year ($$$) for me and my girlfriend have been really tight. It was decided back in February / March that we were not going to go -- unless we struck it rich in the interim.

Me and Applekisses plan on attending Celebration 2003, if there is one (should be -- 7 year cycles). Better yet, we will probably scope out The Park one weekend on a trip to MPLS. Hopefully Prince and the staff will bring back the Friday night Love4oneanother niteclub evenings. Maybe after the European leg ?

Anyway about 20 peeps representin' TheDetroitCrawl.Org are partying it up with Prince this week. Plan to get the 411 from all next weekend and at our next function, " SPLASH : Soft n Wet " HouseQuake Party in July.

Peace out --

Um, me.

I've said it before and i'll say it again.

I love Prince and have for years. But Prince fans give me the creeps.

I equate it to being a Star Trek fan. I love Star Trek, but i wouldn't be caught dead at a convention.

I love Prince. You'd have to point a gun at me to get me to go to Celebration.

You kids wear weird clothes and write funny things on your own time.

I'll chill here in Detroit. Thanks.

So you couldn't afford it then? razz

You think you'd be well used to the "obsessive dorks" given that you spend so much time on this site, IrishEcho!

I've never been to any of the Celebrations but it sounds like good harmless fun. And since I now know that you aren't interested in going, it sounds even better! 2003 here I come ...

CalhounSq is a lovely person. Did you say something mean to upset her? She hasn't been on the site in ages.

I dunno ... is it really any sadder than hanging around on a fan site like Prince.org every hour of the day? You guys seem to have this cartoonish image of fans being all dressed up in ruffles and lace and wearing makeup and trying to out-do each other with their knowledge of Prince trivia and bootlegs. Well I'd hope that we're all getting a bit too old for that kinda carry-on smile (It isn't really like that is it?). Prince is pretty old now, and so are his fans. I'd imagine it'd be nice to meet up with some of the people I communicate with on the Org daily, with the added bonus of seeing a few concerts and seeing the sights, Paisley etc.
