I'm stuck in the UK. I was over $250 short. I'd love to be there, but with the international flights and accomodation it was far too expensive. I think if you live in the U.S though, $250 for a week long pass is very goods value. I mean, you're getting seven concerts and seven days worth of activities for that price. Pretty damn good in my book. I just wish I didn't live so far away.

I hope he holds one next year. I won't be an impoverished student then. Its one of my dreams and I hope I get to realise it.

Me, here in Germany. I was hoping to win the lottery, didn't work out, though.

Too bad...I hope they will put up some photos and maybe mp3s and a lot of reports!

I'm stuck in Oakland. I was thinking, how about if the NPGMC does webcasts of the concerts for members who can't attend, even if they charge us a little bit?

webcasts ? yeah right
mp3's yeah right

what ever happened to - "This Is What WE DO!"
So, the grease poppin' in Studio A was PRINCE editing the Aftershow from The World in New York. (Besides the 10 minute guitar solo on "Joy in Repetition") WE just hope he includes GEORGE CLINTON screaming, "It would b ludicrous 2 think that we couldn't do this..WE DO this...THIS IS WHAT WE DO!"

May 3:
New Grease!
Prince was in the the studio late Wednesday nite/early Thursday morning, then went 2 sleep 4 5 hours and hit the Park again Thursday evening - remaining 'til the following day. Midnite oil burnin' like this means there's new grease in the skillet!

Do you see any aftershow waiting for download ? Don't think so, he will probably give it to us (IF ever!) in November or something - after he has totally re-recorded everything from the whole damn show !!!

Hi, I would be if I wasn't in the middle of a divorce (actually almost at the end...I hope). I'll be there next year. I have never been to the Celebration and I have been attending Prince concerts since 1984...and this tour has kicked serious ass (saw 3 shows). Oh well there's always the European leg.

Unfortunately I couldn't go after all ... I had big plans on going over, mainly to meet up with friends from the Org and to see Paisley Park though. Alas it didn't work out this year but maybe next ... I'll get saving biggrin

I don't have those 30 mins of piano music either coz I'm waiting until the rest of the CDs are out before signing up smile

Nice to see that I am not the only one. By this time next year I would hope all the kinks are worked out, they know what to do, what not to do, etc. Let's say first year chaos, second year better, third year will be the best! Meet up with everyone next year.

You couldn't pay me enough to go to something like that. I've only been to 2 Prince concerts and they were the most embarassing, dehumanizing experiences I've ever put myself through.

Frantic, obsessed losers all dressed up, some with purple hair... trying to be cool and failing miserably. It made me wanna go home and throw all my prince albums off a bridge and me with 'em.

Fuck!!

I have gone to 7 Prince concerts in the last 15 years and I have never felt embarassed!!! They are some of the best shows I have ever been to. What happen to make them bad experiences? After all you go to hear the music!!!

I am not at the celebration because I will be leaving for Jamaica tommorow for my vacation.
