Because it seems to borrow cords from Money Don't Matter Tonight?
Because its seems to borrow from music you heard in an elevator? .

I thought it sounded like parts of the score from Purple Rain...like the Lake scene or something...

Yes it is new
but it is almost identical to the strings at the biginning of Mia Boca. The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Kind of like how I got no response on this thread (http://www.prince.org/msg/7/169845).... it's all in presentation and packaging News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

It reminds me a little of George Michael's Jesus To A Child - I think it's the descending, Latin-style chord sequence that does it.
And then, oddly, it brings If I Ever Fall In Love by Shai to my mind. Don't ask me why!! (Although, I am thinking that a Latin version of that song, with a similar rhythm/tempo to TAC would be quite a cool summer hit.....) I'm talking about the intro to both songs, not the actual meat of the songs themselves!

Hmmm.... I only have the CD of the latter, but I'd love to hear that. Y'know, I think you're allowed to post up to 30 seconds of a song before record companies get pissed.... (hint, hint!)
