I am so happy I have at last bought the "Holy Grail" of Prince books. It's bigger than I thought. Not so much writing in it but worth every penny.

There was 2 on Ebay. I got the first and just wanted to say "WOW"

Is this as rare as I thought?

probably more rare than you think. the chance of it being reprinted are next to nothing, so the copies out there, are all that they are. i can't remember where i got my copy. i'm guessing around the time i picked up the tmbgitw cd single from 1800newfunk.

it's still sealed and it's the hardback version

Yep, there was a hardback version. Bound black with an embossed symbol on the front cover. I got mine from the New Power Generation store in Uptown [man, I miss that place!] years ago. I still have the Gold Experience flyer in the front of the book. . .

I think the NPG store charged 50 smackers for the book. . .I think. . .
