3121 Tour "I'm inviting old friends..."

Whooooo!

FROM

NPGMC EMAIL:

Questions were immediately lobbied back and forth, most of course, which will be highlighted by your Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonite. However a few asked about a tour. Prince didn't want to talk about it yet but he did say "I'm inviting some of my old friends. U'll find out about it."

What Friends will it be!!! I need some Bay Area frinds to goto Prince *COUGHandtherevolutionCOUGH* shows with.

HOOOOO!!!

As I said elsewhere, THAT statement seems calculated to get the fans speculating and chattering!!! biggrin

A lot of fans are gonna assume this means he's getting members of the revolution to go on tour with him.

Maybe.

Or maybe it will be more like when he went on tour with Chaka Khan and Larry Graham.

My worry is that it will be a concert full of special guests singing with Prince largely taking a backseat playing piano or guitar. Like the video 'The Sacrifice of Victor' where half the footage is other acts, which is quite disappointing if you've only come to see Prince play.

it's just going to be prince teaching others how to dance. well, not him. the concert will be him as a dj while previous friends dance for concert goers. on some dates, it will be mayté... on other dates it will be diamond & pearl... and on other dates it will be the gameboyz.

should be an unbelievable tour.

I feel that by the sound of the music that Prince wrote, the only musicians that have the ability to recreate the "Prince sound" would either be his present band or the SOTT/Lovesexy band. More the latter, because of Sheila E. and the latin flavor that she can bring to the music. This I would love to see. Looking forward to seeing the next video to see who will be in the band and what type of music to expect from the 3121 album.

Here's hoping it's Wendy and Lisa, he did catch them live a couple times this year so I'll pray for that one.

By the way, the Time needs to stop TODAY. If it's not Jimmy, Terry, Jesse, Monte, Morris, Jellybean and Jerome....it's PART TIME.
Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

If U think about it, Y would people whats to come to one of his shows if he aint playing the hits?
so whats better than the hits to bring people in? e.g.

the revolution

More people would come just to see him live with them, than to see him do the hits, plus mabey those guys need/want sum extra cash!?
