Caution newcomers to this site!

Although I think that many of the Org people are cool, I must issue the following statement to any newcomers to this site:

"Please do not allow the consistently negative comments found on this site to influence your opinions about Prince, especially as it relates to his post-1992 music. Unfortunately, many here are extremely fanatical fans, some even to the point of being delusional. Also, they are often rock fans that are conflicted by their love for an R&B artist. They are, however, a relatively small group, and do not represent the average Prince fan. You, the open-minded listeners, are his true audience and a big reason for his commercial successes. Thank you."

Sincerely,
Audience1

So by definition of your text, the "true audience" are only just discovering Prince now??

or...

If the true audience is also responsible for Princes commercial success, they must, by definition, be reponsible for the success of the 80s albums.

Isn't that nearly all of us here then?

Who are the mystery minority that don't do the 80s stuff and slag of the 90s onward?

Do tell....

Such ridiculous generalisations.

A better statement would be :

Most members of prince.org will have a different opinion to yours on certain Prince albums , after all the man has produced a huge amount of work in the last 27 years and not everyone on here likes everything he's produced . There are people who dislike his 1990s work , but similarly there are lots who love it ,myself included .Feel free to express your opinion and respect others opinions too .Even though some people tend to talk down to others who don't share thier opinions , they're secretly glad you're here , because if we all loved everything he did and agreed on everything prince.org would be a dull place to be .
Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :

I think the statement should read:

"You can have any opinion here. Freedom is a beautiful thing. Just try and avoid a minority fam base who feel the need to try and stop anything negative being said.

And try to avoid the Michael Jackson obsessives who have infected this site.

And don't go to the politics and religion thread.....just don't."

Yo, I make no apologies for the WIERDASS fuckers the inject so much negatively into this site! Maybe many true audience members don’t visit sites such as this, or at least rarely do. That’s because some people have lives, which is one reason why I don’t get to check in as often as I might otherwise like.
Other items:
The average Prince fan isn’t stuck in 1985.
The average Prince fan isn’t waiting for Purple Rain II.
The average Prince fan listens to R&B.
If you’re so negative, don’t blame Prince, it’s your own pathetic fault.
Yes, everyone entitled to their own opinions, regardless how consistently negative they may be. Dah!
Damn, we all have issues, but for so many to spew such negatively. Scary.

***Like I said: Newcomers to this site, beware!***

The WIERDASS thing about this is that newcomers won't take the blindest bit of notice of you and make their own minds up about this site. It might surprise you, but most people here are adults and can make their own minds up about things. And as for your comment about '...we all have issues', well you prove your own point.

You're funny. Keep posting on this thread cos it's always nice to hear from, and take the piss out of, ludicrously obsessive fans like yourself who get offended by people who dare to criticise something that you clearly love a little too much.

Am I offended, So-crates? Nope. But you apparently are. Of course, people can make up their own minds. Once again, Duh! Just letting people know that not everyone on this site is as delusional as perhaps you are. However, I am glad to have provided you with some measure of pleasure. Hell, I would have gone there over a year ago if I had known such.

'...Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,
even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit...'

...and on that note, here endeth todays lesson.
