i thought there were a few little swatches of clare stuff on musicology...can't think right off-hand of where they are. i suspect prince has a bunch of clare fischer samples that he can pull for use in songs as he sees fit...not that it works that way for EVERY song w/ clare's strings, but...

it is very reminiscent of the strings on Mia Bocca. Just kind of cut up.

This was one of the joys of listening to the song (I've only listened twice so far on the free Windows Media Player version - just in case NPGMC releases a bundle of this with other songs) - Clare Fischer's strings (probably not new, but taken from the vault, like on NEWS), combined with the ONA-band sound. I like it. Not blown away by it, but I think it's a good song, and I can see non-Prince people getting into it.

Ugh, please tell me we're not getting an album that's even partly vault material, I thought/hoped we were getting NEW album of all NEW material?! Don't get me wrong, I'm curious what's in there too, but if it's released it needs to be billed as vault material, not as new material! JMHO.
