THE 3121 CRISIS CENTRE

Welcome to the 3121 Crisis Centre.

The 3CC, as we call it, is dedicated to providing state of the art care to fans past and present who are dealing with 3121 issues. Our experienced staff has lived through the Crystal Ball debacle, treated some of the most traumatized Graffiti Bridge viewers and comforted the families of NPS buyers. We are also experienced in the many Prince mania disorders, from the still recent Musicology Mania to the Rainbow Child Syndrome.

Our motto is : Compassion First, and electroshocks if necessary.

We've already isolated the first 3121 disease, which we've tentatively called Betcha By Golly Wow Apprehension Malady. If you have the following symptoms :

1) Skipping ballads in 90's albums;
2) Covering your eyes when a slow tempo video comes up;
3) Fear of leotards and small fast cars;
4) Nausea when pregnancy is discussed over light r n b

please report immediately to the 3121 Crisis Centre. Trained professionals are at your disposal.

Not surprisingly, there are reports of the new Corazon Obsessive Disorder. Symptoms include :

1) A tendency to translate classic Prince choruses into Spanish;
2) Renting Frida;
3) Listening to Santana:
4) Erasing all programmed channels on the telly except VH1.

If you have these symptoms, take two lumps of sugar and drink plenty of fluid. There is nothing we can do for now.

As with recent Prince releases, it seems inevitable that we'll encounter the dreaded Son of SOTT Disease. Symptoms include :

1) Listening only to pre 88 Prince music;
2) Looking at yourself in the mirror and repeating "I'm like a fine wine!";
3) Calling your cat "Cat";
4) Feeling alternatively hopeful and discouraged without knowing why.

There is no known cure, but patients can control their symptoms by getting a grip. Personalized straightjackets are also available.

There are many other conditions we treat. All visitors are asked to leave their pets behind and describe their symptoms with the help of this handy form :

Name :

Sex?

Did you like Musicology?

What is the last album you liked?

Symptoms :
1)
2)
3)
4)

A caring professional will soon be with you.

Thank you for describing your symptoms. Unfortunately, you suffer from Acute Paisley Obsessive Disorder. There is no cure for you. I think the size of your file says it all.

I would need to run some tests to confirm it, but I suspect a serious case of Rave-0-Phobia that stems from an underlying NPS Traumatic Disorder. I recommend you stick to The Rainbow Children and music released by Warner or your trusty bootlegger. If you see the Te Amo Corazon video, watch if you must but hit the mute button. These restrictions apply until the release of 3121, which I suggest you don't buy before you read reviews from healthy members of the Prince fan community.

I think you should listen to Te Amo Corazon repeatedly. The soothing music will calm your sweating attacks, help you sleep and at least help you concentrate on latino beauticians. As for the confusion, don't worry. It's those who think they aren't that are scary.

Excellent thread. But why call it 3121 CC?

That's limiting the disease to this project and this era. The disease has been ear borne since the internet took hold of people's opinions.

Besides , NO amount of treatment would, in the immortal words of George Costanza...

Sex? Yes, please (o.k., old and from Austin Powers, but I couldn't resist)

Did you like Musicology? Yes!!!

What is the last album you liked? Seems obvios then...

Symptoms :
1) Excitement as something new is up after almost 2 years.
2) Embarassment as some people tend to judge an album they just know the lead single of (TMBGITW - TGE - Single representative for album???)
3) Fascination of the energy some people bring up to spoil the forum with "The new song sucks" threads although that message only needs one sentence.
4) The urge to add that I'm not a fam and I am critical with some of Prince's work (with parts of his work many here might tend to label as "untouchable")

The 3121 Crisis Centre attends to the mental health needs of all our community, shamelessly using the name of Prince's latest project. We couldn't bloody call it the Rave Information Centre or whatever...

Now, about those symptoms... don't be shy! You are among friends.

That's ok... You are a good, straight up fan who loves the music like fans are supposed to. However be warned that in your purple travels, you may encounter folks who have much longer Paisley histories and that have gone through all the crazy hoops Prince has made them go through so many times that it just breaks our hearts, here at the 3121 Crisis Centre. Please be compassionate and keep loving the records you love with abandon, for that is all that matters.

Today is a good day for you with this new single and video. However should boredom set in after a few hours, days or weeks, know that we are here, ready to give great advice that will sustain you until the next release.

Your services intrigue me, Aerogram. lol

I've got a strange problem -- every time I stop playing Prince Music, my cat crawls into the toilet and refuses to come out.

My cat and I both think Prince is real keen and all, but I can't play his music 24/7, as I've got too many other interests.

I fear this has caused an irreversible rift in our relationship.

Can your Centre offer assistance?
