Ya don't know what to expect from Prince but his fans sure are predictable as hell. 
Beg and beg to get something new and take no time to rip it to shreds.
Maybe the major label thing is an effort to get rid of the old and come in with the new. | |

Remember when you were a little boy/girl and you wanted something really bad, like maybe a barbie doll and your parents promised you one, but they come home with those generic ones. The ones that are soft and the hair is ugly and they are fat and the limbs bend and fall off? Remember that feeling? .. This happened to me ONCE, and I never asked for another barbie doll. I saved my money and bought the one I REALLY wanted

I can honestly say, never has a Prince single been so bady received by his own fans! . |

I can honestly say, never has a Prince single been so bady received by his own fans! I can't honestly say that. I've never seen a Prince single well received. TGR was NOT well received. Call my name wasn't really well received. I can't really think of one that was well received in the last 6 to 10 years or so.  "not a fan"  yeah...ok | |

i think prince is done being an 'exciting/innovative/dangerous' kind of artist, especially because he's so confident with his ability to stir that kind of atmosphere in concert. i think as a recording artist, he's mellowing into nice, safe, normal adult contemporary stuff that suits his 'old skool' soul influences. a yawner to me, but whatever - i'll always keep seeing him live at the very least. i don't think he could put on a boring show if he tried, and he's tried pretty hard in the past. | |

and I agree with Stymie. All u hear is people anxiously waiting for 1999 part2 and losing their minds when it doesn't happen. ATTN: the year 1982 is over! Prince fans are the last people to "recieve" his first cuts well. Nature of the beast  .Shake....shake, shake, shake. |
