In case you never noticed, David Lynch is one of my heroes!

Mulholland Dr. was an excellent movie and I have finally figured out just about all of the symbolism in the movie.

I loved that movie! That's the only Lynch movie that I've seen (I think)...but what an excellent film!! I've only watched it twice...but I was pretty much dead on in my view of the movie from discussing it with others. There are a couple of things I know I missed both times. The red pillow at the beginning and the cowboy talking at the end. If you find the time...e-mail me with what you've discovered. What a trip. Are most of his films like that?

Blue Velvet is much more linear, but still great.
Eraserhead is Eraserhead.

The Cowboy is pretty much the exact same character as the Mystery Man character in Lost Highway... I like to watch both movies back-to-back... for some reason they make more sense that way.

That flick is, without a doubt, the worst thing I have wasted 2 hours of my life on in many years, and God knows, I've wasted more than a few.

People: DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS BULLSHIT! Unless you like having your skull fucked and basically being bored for 2+ hours and wondering what the fuck is going on or waiting for anything resembling a plot to ever develop, avoid this insulting godawful piece of shit at all costs. I STILL try to convince the store that rented it to me that they owe me a credit on my account for charging me to watch this thing.

David Lynch is CERTAINLY not for everyone... Hell, he's certainly not for MOST people. He is a surrealist filmmaker and his stories are sometimes not linear at all... he is very much like Bunuel at times.

I can't argue with anyone who didn't like the movie, because it is absolutely not for everyone and is definitely not an easy to understand film.

I liked "Wild at Heart" and "Blue Velvet"

"Gummo" is the weirdest movie I've ever seen in my life, but I liked it.
