Like so many other posts; I rarely read the responses anymore. I didn't read the responses to this post.

Ice - U need to worry about YOUR LIFE kid, not Prince's. The man's just doing fine. Making money, living life and having fun. Which is more than I feel you and so many of the others that keep on slammin' have. Get out more and LIVE. You're wasting time, which is what this place is for. It can be a nice place to visit...but baby U don't wanna live here.

Strange but true. Why don't U go see what U can do.

Peace

Not to worry... we're dealing with a "fam" here... they don't listen to reason.

Bwaaa Haaa Haaa!

Oh, IceNine, u kill me! lol

I agree with you 'bout 95%...

I think a few of the songs on Rave were pretty good, and with the right promotion could have done something. I honestly don't think Rave was promoted enough. "Baby Knows", "Hot Wit U" and "So Far, So Pleased" should have all been a singles, and this was with ARISTA!

I still say he has a shot with a major label...with the right recording and proper promotion.

Of course, that's if Prince wants 2 b there...again.

They would have some MAJOR work to do, but I still hold hope that he can write great music, so it is always possible... the only problem is that Prince has become a punchline to far too many jokes over the last 10 years or so. Young kids are not going to like him because they have been force-fed all the crap that is on the radio and MTV and they wouldn't know good music if it jumped up and punched them in the face.

MTV would only want to hear Prince sound like the Prince of old and he will not do that. The only real chance he has at popularity (in my opinion again) is to put out a rock-oriented record again... featuring his guitar playing. There might be a market for a rock-oriented record.

I could be wrong though... who can say?

lol...the post just didn't make any sense. Telling you to stay out of Prince's, then contradicting themselves and telling you what to do. I just found it funny...

Thumparello

I don't know about a major label, I think they all scared after EMI and Arista. He had two major opportunities to shine and he gave them lack luster recordings. He's a great artist so whatever happens he made his impact in music. Too much money was spent and the lps didn't go anywhere even with all the promotion.

Prince is a musician, not a business man. He makes music that pleases him and obviously if he cared that much about making money, he wouldn't release an album dedicated to JW. Ice, you need to get more of a life. You've posted like 3,000 posts in 4 months!!! Stop living vicariously through the org. and get out more.
