Wasn´t Prince happy about Reagan being elected in the early eighties cause he thought Reagan had the bigger balls ? Maybe he wasn´t serious.

He also gave a concert (fundraiser) for a Democrat at Paisley Park in the mid nineties , so there you go.

I think it´s much more credible if one is open minded enough to change his mind sometimes instead of blindly following an ideology.

Per my understanding, JW's do not vote. At least that was the reason my co-worker gave me for not voting. Something about they don't believe people should govern other people or whatever.

Actually, I'm very shocked about this donation thing on one level. Especially when I think about songs like, "Mr. Man" and "Count the Days." But then again, he can be very knee-jerk.. so I agree that he could have wanted to put some $ behind a specific program he wanted to support.
