Stefan Raab is a huge fan of soul & funk music, so he appreciates artists like James Brown, Prince and Lionel Richie. Kool & The Gang once played for one week at his show instead of his regular band "Herb & The Heavytones".
The Heavytones also play other Prince songs like Sexy MF or Kiss for example.

Btw, I really liked Stefans Viva period. It was a Ray Cokes rip-off, fair enough, but it was good and had that anarchy feeling. I think he just sold out becoming big and commercial.
