I know that I'm going to be hated by all the over-obsessed fans out there, but I think Prince needs to retire. He needs to start a family and relax... he's lost his edge. Emancipation was his last mildly decent album and that was done nearly 10 years ago! Everything else has been missing something...

His performances are incredible to this day, but I think he should stop making new stuff because it has a dryness to it that I don't like.

If he's going to continue a career, he needs to release the stuff from The Vault and a comprehensive music video collection.

Anyway, I'm NOT at all excited about 3121 or the new single. It sounds so cheesy! If this was anybody but Prince performing this song, would you really care to hear more of his music? And to all the Princians who think this man's s--- is pure gold, I already know what you're going to say, so don't say it.

Prince will never retire. He has tried numerous times but the muse keeps calling. It's not in his nature. He's that rare combination of workaholic and artiste who believes idle hands make the devil's work. He's always been like this and he always will be like this. That is why we are so spoiled...because we are also expecting something new and he always delivers. It ain't always good but there's always something new. There have been pop stars more successful but few as prolific.

I thank the man for hooking us up for 25 years like the funk junkies we are.

So, any artist,etc. that you don't like should just retire?
