Has anybody seen this on Ebay.com . I have seen 3 of these special rare japanese promo albums on ebay. Very rare 2 lp fold out that has promo songs from Purple Rain, the Time, Ap-6 and some other hits from other prince lp's back catalog.

I missed bidding on some of these but they were listing from $150 up to $200 each.

Pretty cool item that I have not seen before.

Anybody out there have this item???

Strange Tales From the Rain is one of the rarest of Prince collectables. It used to be that these would never come up for sale. People who had them would hang onto to them. But I've noticed a couple of them come up for sale.

A few years back I might have bid on one, but I'm kinda getting out of the habit of buying expensive Prince stuff. What's the point of it anymore? Unless you're going to open a museum, there's no point in it.

The Paisley Museum at Paisley is lousy and they should have a lot more artifacts and rarities than they have. Just pasting up pictures on the wall and calling it a museum doesn't cut it

Yeah! I know, I used to look for certain rare items too. But not so much anymore.

If I bought something like this it would be sitting in my cabinet collecting dust. No one would appreciate this but me and I would only play these tunes on my cd player anyhow...not the lp.

Just pretty cool because I have only heard of this in uptown. Never seen this available till now.

Yep, same here.

If I would have bought it, I would probably look at it a few times. I wouldn't play it (no recordplayer anymore). After a few days it would collect dust in my closet.
It's not like there are rare tracks on it.. it's only a special cover.

Basically, I quit buying vinyl records because there only use is 'being pretty' in my closet.

I guess that's the reason that you see them on eBay. People want to have cd's, not vinyl records.

I'd rather spend my money on 'The War'-cd for example... if the price wouldn't be that high! Or that beautiful Prince Tamboracca (now, thát's a fun piece of an instrument!)
