It's a very tight set of tracks.

And reclaiming his 'Careless Whisper' from George Michael as he did with 'NC2U' is a masterstroke imho.

3121 up coming album name.

Te Amo.. a fucking great ballad imho

Other trax are funky as hell

I really hope so about the funky part and also I love some Prince ballad, so I hope Te Amo going to be his best of all.

Hey you seem like you know a lot about the album can you tell me who going to be guests on the album as I am hearing he going to have some people from his past going to be on the album?

Thankx.

No special guests on this album other than the usual set of past musicians and a girl name Ashley Tamar.

There are rumblings about other musicians for other stuff but nothing said or done yet. just rumblings.

Don't know song titles other than obvious 3121 and Te ama corazon,
from what I heard the other titles sound like, but not sure as I only heard once and fast:

The Streets of Havana or Panama (I couldn't really understand)
Beautiful
Lolita

and I'm not sure of the rest. I heard it too fast. but its excellent stuff.

Lolita was on one of the 3121 shirts that was quickly removed from the NPGMC site a few days ago, so I certainly believe that it's a song title.

Other than the fact that he's technically already released a song called Beautiful (the remix b-side to TMBGITW), I have no reason to doubt the other titles, and even then, he's released two tracks called New Power Soul, two called 7/Seven, and has written two called Girl, so this could be legit.

To my ears: completely commercial. 3121 is an immediate fix for me, since I'm more into "classic" Prince.

This is the counterpart to 1992's "symbol".

Like Musicology was 1991's "D & Ps".

What do you mean by immediate fix? That your just happy theres new music but you aren't that keen or that 3121 is reminiscent of princes earlier/classic work such as sign of the times?

the song, 3121 reminds me of classic Prince

the other songs are good, i like them .. the ballads are sexy, nothing near "Adore" but closer to "The One" imo anyway.

the uptempo songs.. 2 are heavy R&B, 1 is synth oriented, 2 are horn populated.

Thats from what I can recall..

I don't think anything he could record today would touch adore. Thanks again for the info. It sounds as though it is almost a one man band album again, however i hope we get to hear renato (sp?) a bit more.

It means: I love you Corazon
Who the heck is Corazon?

corazon
spanish for heart
its just a way of saying i love you sweetheart

it's been said numerous times already.

I asked my dad about it (his work requires him to know Spanish), and here's what he had to say:

"Literally it means 'I Love You, Heart.' I think the sense is 'I Love You, Sweetheart,' although in that case 'Te Amo, Mi Corazon' would be better."

Any thoughts on this from native Spanish speakers?

the video is a "whats going on" video.. as in.. okay whats really happening. does he see her? is she really there?

its in morroco at some palace.

i think everyone will like it. the ballad will make your girlfriend give up her panties if you play it for her.

My girlfriend doesn't wear panties. wink

Seriously, though, BobbyPin seems to know his or her stuff, and based on that I would surmise that we have one more clue that points towards Prince being involved in writing original songs for the film “The Lake House”.

The description of the video where two people are in love but can’t fully connect in time and space is the exact subject matter being dealt with in this film. And the Latin influence could certainly be coming from the Argentinean director, Alejandro Agresti.

It would also explain the involvement of other film people in Prince’s video, such as Salma Hayek as the director and Mia Maestro as the actress. And it would explain why Prince -- legendary for spending little on his videos and rarely ever leaving the comfy confines of Paisley Park to shoot them -- flew all the way to Morocco to film. In other words, Prince may not have been paying the bill, or at least not the full bill.

So my guess, which is nothing more than reasoned speculation, is that the song “Te Amo Corazon” is something that is or was intended for “The Lake House” that Prince became so smitten with that he had to include it on his own album either exclusively or in addition to it also possibly being included in the film.

By the way, “The Lake House” has been moved from a February 3rd to a June 16th American release date. I’d say that means the studio saw an early cut of the film and decided that it had enough potential to move it to the very competitive summer blockbuster season.

And Prince is still listed at imdb.com as writing original music for this film, though we still haven’t gotten further confirmation beyond the director indicating in a pre-production interview that he was in talks with Prince about the themes of the film and the type of music he was seeking.

Heart is unversally know to be the soul also.

Maybe the correct meaning of his translation is "I love you soul"
