Shhh. Prince And Tevin Versions Shhh is a powerful song. Sneaking to have sex. Shhh definately one of my favorite songs either by Prince or Tevin. Just the lyrics reminds me of a few things, for when I was in that situation. U know, "U gotta B quite or somebody will hear us". This is not really a thread about which ones better, just the song inparticular is great. Ya'll can decide which ones better if U'd like. I like both. I have 2 say though Prince's live version of Shhh is... I cant even describe the shit. The guitar solo is one of the reasons if I had to choose I'd pick Prince's cuz of the solo. Prince produced Tevin's "Im Ready" album so that pretty much says it all why. Tevin's version inbetween verses and at the end has a woman having a Orgasm, that part is pretty hot. Shhh, my favorite and funny part of the song is when it goes "I'd rather do U after school like some homework". Sneakin' to have sex, I know some of U had to do that too, I know it aint only me. Both of these versions R very good. I experinced Prince's version at the Musicology Tour and it was simply amazin', the solo was on point. Some say Shhh was a little too raunchy for Tevin at that time, but Prince of course pulled it off well. Some people think I'm kinda cute

I quite like Tevins version.
I just found out the other day that he was gay. What a shock. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I liked Tevin's version. I remember it came out when I was in the eleventh grade. Prince's version came out my Freshman year of college and blew Tevin's out of the water. I remember thinking that I'd never heard a rock/soul/blues ballad with that much instrumental fire before. Shhh is one of my all time favorite Prince songs and it comes from the album that made a diehard. | |

i've always loved this song to pieces (both versions) but tevins has always makes me blush - like i'm dirty for listening to it and he's dirty for singing it. princes version turns me on more. love the live version - solo = AMAZING! Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
