Played Head at school & lookin' for a person who is possibly on the Org This thread is related to a course of English I am currently taking and the stuff that has happened on that course. First up, we were all allowed to bring some music to school and the others would then grade it. So I there were about six people who brought some music with them (we only have like ten people attending this course) and I was one of them. The others brought stuff like Elton John and Bon Jovi (one played us this horrible Eurovision-sounding crapfest). Anyways, I played Head . I'm guessing not all understood the lyrics must a lot of them did. You should've seen the uneasy look on the teacher's face . So everyone gave a grade, four being the lowest and ten the highest, to each of the songs. We got the results back today and guess which song won? HEAD . The other thing we did on the course was that we went out to town for some coffee and everyone had to talk in English. So we have this exchange student from California in our school and one of the members of my English course is friends with him so she called him and he came over to the cafe cause they were going to get tickets to a gig. Everyone else pretty much left cause the lesson was over but I had to wait for my bro anyway so I hung around and started talking with the exchange student. We got to talking about music when he told me about the gig they were planning on buying tix for. I asked him what music he liked best and he said he liked all kinds of music but if he had to pick one favorite it would have to be Joni Mitchell. When I told him I was a Prince fan he told me his best friend was an obsessive Prince fan. So I started wonderin' if it were possible that this friend of his was hangin' 'round the Org. The exchange student's name is Patrick and he is from California. So if you know someone called Patrick who is currently in Finland as an exchange student you might aswell be the person we are talking about. Dear friend of Patrick's, if you read this, please post a response

[Edited 12/8/05 6:14am] This story just goes to prove that all roads lead to Prince Rogers Nelson ... That's a great story. The song "Head" must be pretty old now by todays standards. I always wonder if it still shocks people now in the same way as it did then. Expecially compared to other artists out there at the moment. Personally I glad the song still raises eyebrows. Shut up already, damn. | |
