Favorite Prince T.V. moments

Off the top of my head, mine would probably be the Emancipation special that was broadcast live from Paisley Park. I was really surprised that he played "Joy in Repetition". After hearing that and "If I Was Your Girlfriend", I was more than satisfied.

Also, the VH1 thing (I'm not sure what the name of it is) in which he performed "Interactive" and "Endorphine Machine". That was a real raw performance and it sounded great. (Mayte dancing around in that white outfit didn't hurt either razz).

Lastly, the RRHOF performance, especially "Sign O' the Times" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". I'm a grown ass man and he brought me to my feet in my livingroom with that laast one! That was very memorable and exciting!!

So what's yours? I know I'm missing a bunch of good ones.

1 - In 1985 when he was performing at the AMAs and he was doing his signature "microphone dance" and as he brought it back up to his face he hit himself in the cheek and it left a red mark on his face - HILARIOUS!

2 - His appearance on Oprah.

3 - Then his Leno performance the other year when he rocked "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker."

I think I liked them all. Hard to choose, loved the solid gold performances, AMA 85 where prince signs purple rain then kicks the mic stand.

There are a lot of them but the ones that stand out are:

1985 AMA's and Grammy's - can't no one say he wasn't the baddest mofo in the world with these performances.

1994 VH1 Honors - I was bouncing up and down on my bed watching him tear up Interactive and Endorphinmachine.

2004 Grammy's and RRHOF - proof that Prince was still the shit and will always be the shit.

I really hope to God that 2006 brings the best TV Prince performances ever. With the right shows, he will have everyone going nuts for him again the way they should be. I can't wait biggrin
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

* RRHOF
* 1st Arsenio Hall performance
* Muppetts - singing Starfish & Coffee
* 2nd VH1 Save the Music appearance where he gestured that Fran Dresscher should kiss his ass after making some "poor guy" comment about his height.

I agree with these and I'd add his performance of Peach at the European Music Awards.
