I am sooo over Prince... ...I've grown tired of him over the years and I'm only mildly interested in him at this point. Does anyone else feel the same way? "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

P could never put out another note of music the rest of his life and Ill still be thankful for all of the music he has given me over the years, and the joy and inspiration in his music  | |

I'm more into the org than Prince these days. I feel the same. I remember the first few years I like Prince, I played his albums particularly Dirty Mind, Prince, and Purple Rain to death. I used to watch Purple Rain almost every week. I even had a huge crush on him at some point. Now I played his albums like once or twice every year maybe for the last few years. The albums that I would played the most happened to be Dirty Mind one. My collection is filled with other old school artists that I play right now I just don't have the mood to play a Prince album like I used to. Still Prince will always have a place in my heart. He is a genuis, mysterious, and a badass. But I am also interested more knowing and hearing about Prince and also enjoyed of the fact Prince being talk about on here. | |

Actually, I feel the same way!! I still play all his albums pre-Emancipation time than any of the crap he has brought out since then, (even interested more in bootlegs pre-Emancipation time)!!! Since its release I have only played Musicology TWICE!!!!! 
In fact in some ways as far as I am concerned hes had his day!! It wouldnt worry me if I never saw him in concert again!! He has lost his edge, the funk has all but dissappeared, the rawness has gone!! Theres no charisma and enigma anymore!!! I might even downgrade my fan status on my .org profile even further 2 Casual, from Enthusiast, whereas before it used 2 b Hardcore!!!!  | |

Well, I was working on some papers about Prince for my first year of Masters, so I was listening very intensively there for a year... Now I'm examining Duran Duran  and others. I'll probably listen to Prince a little bit less, but I still like him as much. | |

It is absolutely normal. Listen to bruce Springsteen stuff every single day for 2 years. I bet you will be bored to death. I have been listening to David Bowie for the last year every single day. I'm kinda bored with his music now.

kinda yeah. "reflection" was the last new prince song i really dug.if he keeps doing musicology type albums then... i think i'd only be interested in him putting out the old outtake and live material. | |
