COMPTON CONCERT REVIEW (Funny stuff)

Ok, let me just say this. Even tho' the show was 17 weeks ago, I'm just now recovering from that magical show. I haven't been back to work yet, I never left my house since. I have milk delivered and saw my picture on the carton.

Anyway, the venue was beautiful! It was at the Rodney King Autotorium, this was a nice place, they sold 40's and sunflowers seeds, it was real classy, I wasn't use to this level of taste. Celeberties were all about, Todd Bridges was there, so was Eric Estrada and Nell Carter. The show started at 8, with soundcheck at around 5:30, so I came early. I got there about 1pm, 2 days before the soundcheck, I just wanted to make sure I got a good spot.

When they finally let all 5 of us in, we rushed to the front of the stage. Prince was already there, him and emmanuel lewis was playing hopscotch on stage, while the rest of the band played Yahtzee. They played all the classics, "Mary had a little lamb, Jimmy Crack corn, and Rockwell's "Somebody's watching me" man, I was amazed. Then he went thru a hellafied version of "It's Tricky" from RUN DMC. After that, this guy asked him could he play in his hair, so Prince sat down and the hair tech came out and messed Prince's hair all up then the guy came on stage and ripped it!!! Dude redid Prince's hair to the cut he had in the 7 video. We all was amazed!! Some had a CD for Prince to listen to, he declined saying he was alergic to the light that reflects of the CD when you shine a light on it. She was cool about it tho', then this other chick had a gift for him, Prince took the small box, shook it up and put his ear to it, he then threw the box because he heard a ticking sound, when security opened it, they found a toy chipmunk dancing to "tick tick bang" He was real sorry and apologized to her, her offered a copy of Dinner with Delores for her, but she declined.

Now on to the show...

As the light went down, the crowd was in a full frenzy, and came out in this Gray suit, I think it was fleece, it said "Cross Colors" on the back, anyway. He slowing eased the band into the entire play list of the New Power Soul Album, then after that spectacular display, all of a sudden Tony M grabbed the mike like he was David Ruffin and started rapping, damn he's so talented. Then After that, he went to his Triangle and play the whole "Chaos and Disorder" CD on the triangle!! Truly a night to remember!!! Then they sprayed that 'B Wild" colonge on the crowd, we all stunk like Prince that night, I haven't showered since. He played the theme from "Ishtar" and "The Greastest American Hero" For the encore, he sat alone on a stool and played Purple Rain, with spoons!!! The man is a God I tell you!!!

The After party was off the hook, it was at the Swap Meet in South Central. Your credential got you in for free(a purple bandana) The place was packed! O.J. and Al Collins was in the house, Prince gave a shout out to that guy who sings "Rico Sauve". He jammed until 9:00pm, the after set was only 12 minutes but it was the best 720 seconds of my life.

To all the fams I met from El Segundo, LoCash, and Detroit, I wish you luv man. I will share this night with all of my baby mommas!!!

I saw this show too. It was definitely one of the best I've ever seen.

One thing though, next time you run for the stage billy, look out for us little people.

You damn near broke my ribs.
Some people are like Slinkies...

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
