Pronce On Soultrain

Many artists have been on Soultrain. I don't know that Prince ever has. INfact I've only seen him on one of those types of shows. He was sucking a Lollipop and wouldn't talk tot he host.
Working up a purple sweat.

A little typo there and yes Prince was on Soul Train, during his no name symbol years. In fact it was around 1994/5, The Gold Experience was the current album of release. Holly Robinson was the host of that particular episode and the second act on the show was a forgettable R&B trio named For Lovers Only . Any of our resident experts will give you the playlist as I only remember him playing Days Of Wild .

If memory serves me correctly, I think he may have been on there to lip synch 1999 and/or Little Red Corvette. I know he performed Now, Love Sign (with Nona Gaye),TMBGITW (Mustang Mix) and I think one more song in 1994.No interviews for the 94 appearences and more than like the other ones either.

He did Now, Acknowledge Me, and Lovesign. I think he did TMBGIW as well. Holly Robinson was the host.

He first appeared on Soul Train in early Spring of 1980 w/ "I Wanna Be Your Lover" and "Why You Wanna Treat You So Bad".

Unless he did the same two songs on Soul Train, you may be thinking of American Bandstand.

And I remember him doing one of the remixes of TMBGITW and Acknowledge Me, but I don't remember the other two.

No,he only appeared on 'Soul Train' one time,in the spring of 1994.To see a listing of all the old episodes,go to www.soultrain.com and click on "Soul Train Weekly Series".I checked the listings for 1979 and 1980,and there was no Prince appearance.

The 1999/Little Red Corvette lip synch might be from 'Solid Gold'.
