Sinead is awesome. In fact, I'm going to see old baldy tomorrow night at Cleveland's House of Blues.

She talks too much, lives to regret it and then later regroups. It's nothing new -- and who generally doesn't do the same thing, including Prince's ass?

As for her own output, she's done amazing unsung work both before and after "Nothing Compares 2 U." Check out LION AND THE COBRA, GOSPEL OAK, SEAN NOS and UNIVERSAL MOTHER. And while she benefitted greatly from singing Prince's song, let's not be so cocky as to forget: so did Prince. That song was about 4 years old and forgotten by everyone but diehard Prince fans when Sinead unburied it. And it was far more successful when she did it than it ever was with The Family. In fact, I'd bet my house that Prince would never have started performing the song in concert and released it later as his own single had Sinead not revived it.

...Anyway, who says Sinead's gotta be as prolific and successful on the charts as Prince to have an opinion of him? Hell, if my anonymous butt held the same opinion of him, it'd be no less valid. Fact is, as great as he is -- and as grateful as Sinead should perhaps be for his catalog -- he's been a celebrated dick to a LOT of people, and some simply have the balls to publicly call him on it. I've heard the rumors about the two of them, and I don't know whether they're true or not. But if Sinead doesn't like his little ass, I'm sure she has a reason. And her caliber of artistry has zero to do with it.
