Oh really? That Slave debacle seemed to me to be antic since Prince did sign a 1992 100 million dollar deal then 2 years later he is like, "Hey wait a minute I am a slave I need more money for my lifestyle even though i don't pay my staff right and jilt business costs. I am Prince I need more money" If Prince really was a Slave, then why did he resign in 1992? Maybe it's because he got the best deal on Warner Brothers anyone could have hoped for.

Prince doesn't have antics? How about this for antics. Prince needed to sell his act by wearing butt out pants to shock people at the 1991 VMA's. Or this antic, changing his name to "" or ahow about beyonce and prince doing a medley together to somehow prove to people "I am relevant. Look Im standing next to Beyonce and we are performing Let's go Crazy. You all love Purple Rain. Go see me on Tour" Or this antic "I will never perform the hits ever again" said multiple times. And then here comes Purple Rain and all the usual suspect of songs. Here's my favorite antic "I am going to show a personal side on Oprah to hock my Emancipation album and I will cry for the camera" Some more antics "Prince dressing up as a pseudo homosexual new wave dancer in briefs to pander to the shock crowd" then Prince panders to new wave eighties Adam Ant/Jimi Hendrix Experience/psychedelic romantic style
Prince's mocked press conferences about changing his name and then changing it back. Im not saying Prince isnt a musical genius, but I am saying this without all of these antics from Day 1 people would be talking about him less. And he knows it.


Im sorry but im going to say what people already know. Prince knows his music just can't stand on it's own. It never could it needs a spectacle to come with it. Because without that he would be written in a cult publication and mentioned how this guy has potential.

Every picture is calculated airbrushed screaming to say "Please Like me. Im still here. Like me!" And you know what's sad? It's never enough for Prince
Even with all his pioneering musical/artistic accomplishments he still has to reach for validation from his fans in such sad pandering state. This probably stems from what alot brilliant artists suffer from. The praises and cheers are too far fleeting for an artist like this. I am convinced of this.

Then when someone makes a fair criticism someone always has to defend him purely on emotion and love for his music. Let me tell you something you already know. Everyone has uttered something in public or in private that they feel is harsh and cruel. If you think for one second that Prince is void of that criticism then you are sadly mistaken. There is no exception to the rule. Everybody is an asshole. And what's funny is people make these "shaking head emoticons" like Prince is some saint to having class and manners.

Want to know the real truth? It's not hard to see that Prince is trapped and addicted to fame. Not even the success of Musicology4ever is good enough of fame. This 3121 stunt is just another example of this.
Let me ask you something, do you think radio is going to spin 3121? Prince is looking for acceptance in every performance he does still. He always wants to know "Am I still good" And what Prince doesn't realize it's all a perception and perspective and subjective opinion. "Good" Is smoke n mirrors.

Even his calendars/posters and merchandise, scream "I am here Do you still like me?"

Prince is a facade to amuse/entertain his viewers/fans/ into something he really isn't as a person. The build up of everything he does is delusional at best.
The taunting/snark/snide remarks of every single artist in music/movies who even has a slight remark Prince.org goes off on a tangent. Everyone is human. Prince isn't St.Peter or Mother Theresa.

I know what she has done since, I'm saying has she ever done anything different than dissing Prince over the past 15 years? (rhetorical) Everytime someone mentions Prince to her in an interview she's dissing him.

I'm not one to kiss Prince's ass, but even with all the shitty music Prince has released over the years you can not put Sinead in the same category as Prince. I can't think of one truly great artist who didn't die at a young age who hasn't been through some creative low in their career.

Let's keep things in perspective indeed, if it wasn't for Nothing Compares 2 U most people wouldn't even know who the fuck she is. I don't understand celebrities who diss each other, especially if the person they're dissing has achieved things they can only dream of.

You can say what you want about Prince, but everyone knew Prince was touring and was the hottest act last year.....people climbed out from under the rock to see this tour.....

umm..sinead is considered a pioner of woman rock. even before Nothing Compares 2 U she would have gone into the history books for her Lion & The Cobra album. Lets not forget she was a multiple grammy nominee for that album prior to her prince connection.

sinead has been hurt by many men in her life..physically and emotionally. a lot of her bitter anger towards men stem from her childhood. lets not forget even prince himself acknowledged this after watching her behind the music episode. he was soo touched by the show he posted a public declaration of support to her on his own website.

sure sinead needs to tone down her antics but all of her statements come from her love of life, children and her desire to protect the world from pain. for that i will forever respect her. probably much more so then any other artist out there right now.
