Prince and George Harrison

On George Harrison's website (www.georgeharrison.com) are the clips of Prince performing "While my Guitar Gently Weeps"from last years RocknRoll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. I'm sure someone has mentioned this before, but I tried to search the boards and didn't find anything. It's in a Windows Media Player format. I'd love to download it in order to burn a dvd to keep, but I don't know how..

From what I remember, GH's Website butchered the "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" video. They pretty much edited Prince's guitar solo. There version is much different then the actual version. They cut in and out of the guitar solo. It's real disappointing. I would suggest searching else where..... sad

I just watched it and it's the full version. No cutting that I can detect.

They completely butchered it. His solo is mixed out for most of the end, and you can hear the other lead guitarist playing instead. I put up a thread on this a while ago.

STAY AWAY from this version. I think I have the real one.

Peace.

They must have read your thread because I just watched it over there and what I saw hasn't been butchered. wink

Deaf people again making up shit...

They pretty much edited Prince's guitar solo.

They didn't edit anything, they just didn't MIX the performance for release (unlike the people who broadcast it on TV...)
It's as simple as that...

There version is much different then the actual version.

It's exactly the same, see above for the reason it sounds different...

They cut in and out of the guitar solo. It's real disappointing. I would suggest searching else where..... sad

They didn't cut anything in and out of the guitar solo, you're just hearing the version everybody heard right there on the spot before it was mixed, glamourized and then broadcast on TV (standard practice...)
