Well,most of the people who live here are expats from Europe, Australia, South Africa, the U.S. and Canada, so to answer your question, yes most people do know him and he does get a lot of airplay, mostly with his older songs though, but nevertheless.
I wish he would come here and do a concert. A lot of the big artists have had concerts here recently. I really miss his concerts.....last one I went to was in Holland in 1998.....too long ago.
