Prince Concert on MTV Base

Saw a Prince concert on MTV Base here in the UK a few months ago

He had a small band 4 or 5 piece

The drummer was wearing a trilby hat and a shirt and tie and the Bass player was female (I think!)

The track he was playing was very funky (James Brown/Parliament) funky

Anyone know what it was called and can I buy it on a Video/DVD?
It's not what is true it is what you believe

Maybe the Musicology promo gig at Webster Hall? If it's that one, a version of the Cinnamon Girl CD single includes a "Dear Mr Man" live video. Though that's propably not the song you mean. You might also check www.housequake.com, once in a while they might have it in their video section.

Yeah, it sounds like the MTV 'Art of Musicology' Tv special he did. It features the songs Musiology (which sounds like the James Brown-esque song you mention) and Dear Mr. Man with the full band, plus an acoustic guitar section with just Prince.

It is not officially on video or dvd, though there are unofficial versions floating round.
