I like that idea a lot, actually; except when you read your response to Imago, you realise it could have disastrous consequences. of course, and that's what i mean about dealing with the crap to get to the good stuff. sheila's performance on the NAACP awards performance KILLED, and you can never go wrong with morris and jerome, even if they're just coming on stage to dance and act like fools. what gives me a sense of promise is remembering some of the 3121 reports, particularly the ones that mentioned prince staying up all night in the kitchen talking to stevie and joni, and some of the other artists he supposedly jammed and hung out with. and then there are the recent reports of him turning up at wendy & lisa shows. you can look at things as they've been the past few years, or you can look at where he's been and who he's been checking out over the past year. not a lot of larry or doug e. fresh going on, even though i'm sure ol' larr is still in the picture (i don't mind, as long as it's more bass playing than witnessing).
As you say, if he puts his heart and soul into it, it could be an amazing album. But - but - we all know what Prince's 'collaborations' are like. The concept itself intrigues me, though. I just want something that sounds like nobody else on this planet. | |

it has NEVER been stated that 12/13 is a "release date". It is has only been stated that something big is coming on 12/13. Per the PP's at npgmc, their exact response to all the speculation of a "release" was "keep in mind, it hasn't been said what will happen on 12/13".  | |

That's true, though I think many who believe this assume an album is being released. But it could just as easily be an announcement of a tour or album or project, or a revamp of a club, or something new being added to the Musicology store, or it could be just the club moderators teasing us and actually nothing will happen on that date. I do hope it's some new music, but I'm really not convinced... | |
