At this point in his life, I truly doubt Prince drinks. I believe that his Jehovah Witness faith precludes him from imbibing alcohol. Therefore, I feel any reports of Prince touching wine, or other spirits are just false.
As far as speculation in regards to Prince's drug use, is just that, speculation.
First, ask yourself, does it matter in your life? It probably does not.
Second, remember how Appollonia and Morris were portrayed in Purple Rain after they drank too much? I think Prince has always been anti alcohol going back to his fathers activities.
Lastly, I think Prince is way too spiritual to use illegal drugs. He may "act spacey" but I feel that's his artistry. That is to say, most brilliant artists act a little spacey. Prince once said in an interview during the Musicology song, that songs just appear in his head..that he's channeling them and that his talent is God given.
He's not doing cocaine. He's not doing heroin. He's not doing chronic, blow, pot, or anything else.
Why can't you just enjoy his talent and accept him for who he is?
Perhaps he has allergies. Maybe that's why he rubs his nose
Perhaps he's shy. This I believe. People who are shy hide their face in subtle and unsubtle ways when they speak. Hence the quiet voice.
Move on to a new person to pick on,

Apart from:

1. My understanding is that Jehovah's Witness beliefs do not preclude the use of alcohol

2. Prince has been reported by close associates in the past as having at least occasionally consumed alcohol, which seems to suggest that he has not always been totally anti-alcohol as you suggest

3. Your own post is full of speculation whilst you appear to criticise others for speculating
