Who Will Be Next? Prince is king in my book. But he's been performing for 30 years. Who's going to take the place of rock, funk fusion guru when he's gone? So far, I see nobody who even comes close. Macy Gray had a good thing going with her first CD. I loved Bo Do Do Da and Sexomatic. But her sophmore effort left much to be desired. Who do you see, if anyone, taking over what Prince started? | |

No new artists I've heard even qualify as a pimple on Prince's ass. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Reluctantly, I agree. But ocassionally, I see shades of Prince. Macy Gray is no Prince. But she had 2 songs on her last CD that had that Prince vibe to it. Since then, however, she hasn't been able to channel him anymore. One of my favorite videos of Prince was Sexuality. This was still fairly early in his career, but you could see then that he was special! | |
