i'm still pretty old-school when it comes to stuff, even in the age of instantaneous downloading. i'd much rather physically go to the wrecka sto and get an album, have it in my hands, cover work/liner notes and all to read while i ride home on the bus, as opposed to merely downloading it (and getting pissed if it doesn't download correctly or fast enough).

What you said nod

Depends on how far in advance the dl was given. I'd rather go and buy it physically and have it. It's like an exciting experience to go and grab it on the first day its out, listen to it while looking at the artwork and liner notes... If it was a matter of a week then I would wait but if it was longer I might have to do the dl first, but I would buy it no matter what!

record store.

having the download option is great for the people who like that and have the means to take advantage of it, but besides the fact downloads take FOREVER for me on my crummy machine, i like having an actual CD in my possession.

but yep i would read about it here on the Org before i bought it and could hear it myself. nod i couldn't help doing so. lol

i enjoy reading all the various thoughts and opinions about the music and i always make up my own mind in the end about whether i like something or not.

Wrecka Stow for me. Why? I love that feeling of holding the cd in your hand just waiting to get in the car and rip it open to listen to it for the first time.

The Wrecka Stow. I gotta have the imagery to flip through as I listen. It puts everything into perspective.

If the download precedes the CD release by any amount of time, most likely I'd buy it right away cuz I'll want to hear it for myself! Now that I'm living in timbuktu, it might be awhile before I could get my hands on a CD. confused nod But either way I'll end up with the CD eventually!
