Forever In My Life: from the SOTT concert movie 
man, what an amazing tune, i love it when prince gets all mental on our asses at the end and screams louder than i ever heard him scream. and man, do i miss the fantastic Boni Boyer!!! One of the best people he ever worked with imo. I don't know i just have a soft spot for her. her vox are superb!! just an all round great performance  and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

A fantastic performance of a beautiful song. Back when this was on VHS, I immediately dubbed it to audio cassette and played the shit out of that jam. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

Words are inadequate to express how much I  this performance. When I first got the footage I watched that song every morning & night! Prince looks so great in that hat and I the guitar with the heart on it. I how he screams and Sheila is cracking up. Boni tears in up and then at the end Prince throws down the microphone stand and struts off stage. AWESOME!

Just happened to watch it now.. 3 times in a row in fact. Given that it's my favourite song the performance of it is just the icing on the cake for me!
Prince you are one son of a gun! Love you .. you are just too damn good.. By the way I completely forgot how gorgeous Sheila E looks in that concert.. she is amazing! And her body!!! Especially in that one legged white suit.. Shit I wanna wear that to my wedding while I'm walking down the aisle to Forever in My Life...  if only everyone else would understand!! This tune is one of my favourites. I never understand why we have to suffer though muck like My Medallion at the NPGmc, while he's got such gems like this in the vault.
I would love to have an analog version of the long live version, I will imagine the wave of lighters with it myself... That made the actual live version of that so great to witness; especially in the football stadium in Utrecht, where the lights just seemed to reach to the sky, as seen from up close to the stage. I missed seeing the band do the intro, cuz I was turned around, watching the amazing sight. |
