Do Ya Think Prince Grew Up In A STRICT ENVIRONMENT OR A PERVASIVe ONE?

WAS it a FREE SPIRITED ONE or CLOSED MINDED ONE? Did he FEEL the NEED to REBEL?

Zel, you are just overflowing with questions these days!! What's up?? biggrin

P.S. My impression from biographical stuff I've read is that the environment prob leaned toward strict.

You do have a point...for someone who's been so famous for so long, he's still an enigma. He never comes out and reveals much about himself, all we get is second-hand information from observers or associates. shrug

But GEMINIS are LIKE That. I swear they are just kinda CLOSED and PRIVATE..RESERVED. Their kind of WILD is NOT LOUD ..It's MORE SUBTLY WILDNESS. THEY DEFINITELY ARE KINKY and STUFF AND the ones I have KNOWN WERE JEALOUS,BUT They are not CRAZY and WILD. Plus they have a WORK ETHIC.My AUNT is a GEMINI and SHE WOULD GET PISSED at ME if I DIDN"T WEAR a BRA... She told me to DRESS APPROPRIATELY.... Boy,would she be PISSED NOW!

Seems like he felt the need to do his own thing and not be dependant on anything or anyone.

So this probably means he was in a more strict than permissive atmo.

I'll bet it was a "do as I say, not as I do" type parenting job. If that's what you mean by STRICT. Seems fairly permissive to allow your 16 yr old boy run around the country struggling with his demos/music. Then again, not in the late 70's. I think it sounds like his dad was perfectionistic..(that's a personality disorder, by the way)..NOT a positive thing...and his mom depressed.

He grew up in a messed up family. He obviously didn't get the nurturance needed ansd raised with athoritarian parenitng which lead to a poor attachment. Many stories of him not being let back home after leaving(him calling his father asking to be taken back and his father telling him no). Having to live with another family. These things took a toll on his self esteem and ego, hence the making of a narciisist due to his developing ego strength being damaged.

It's not anyway an insecurity thing. I laughed because you make his height as some sort of defect, and that his parents were that superficial enough to have that as a cause for them turning him away. Whoo boy.
