I dont find C&D that bad. Actually, it has good songs: Dinner with Delores, Zanalee, I Rock therefore...Not his best, but not his nadir. "Todo está bien chévere" Stevie

TRC, not because of of the Bea Arthur voice, but for the average sound. Nothing stands out. 1+1+1=3 is highly overrated in this place. [Edited 11/14/05 15:31pm] (Insert something clever here)

Easy. The Rainbow Children.
It is a great album.... for me to poop on. or to set a drink on. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. I sorry, I just have never gotten into For You. It just doesn't do it for me. I only like one song off of it, and that's Soft and Wet. I'm back!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. I've tried and TRIED to appreciate this album and I'm just not feelin' it. There are exactly 3 songs that I like out of 36 and the rest bore me to no end. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Diamonds and Pearls (I love Walk Don't Walk, Cream, and Money Don't Matter 2Nite, but the rest is just very forgettable).
Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic. For a long time I truly tried to like the album, and it has its moments (Strange But True, Manowar), but ultimately it's definitely my least favorite Prince album - Just about every song is a clunker, and the superslick production, weak guest stars, and general lack of inspiration (Every Day is a Winding Road?) stop this one dead in its tracks. "The Truth". It's stripped down and dull, dull, dull. Hell, I feel like he's going to break out singing "Kumbaya" at any moment. Andy is a four letter word.

Dirty Mind-I love the look and attitude, and I like watching old footage of it and videos from a historical viewpoint. But the music itself is very bland and downright boring. And I can't defend Sister. It's just embarrassing. I tell someone I like P and they're like "U know he fucks his sis, right" and I can't respond because I can't defend it. But that's not why I don't like the album, I just don't see what the fuss is all about musicallly. Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.

Man,ám I the only one who likes D&P here?
I don't consider it 2 be his most inspired album but it's a solid P-album,kind off an compilation of what Prince stands 4.Just a great pop album. Don't like NPS,Rave...that much, thoug every P-album always has some good stuff on it. Haven't listened 2 NEWS that much so I really can't say what I think about that one. Love4oneanother

I know that, and it's actually humorous. But try explaining that to the non-fans who think he's just an odd sex freak who don't understand his humor. I can't defend it. Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.

I would have to say that LOVESEXY is the worst, although, Anna Stesia is very cool. Iwould also like to say very bad (VILE) things about TRC,NPS,COME, and CHAOS AND DISORDER but theres not enough time. Well maybe just a sec (PISSSSS,BLOOD, SHIT and PUKE) are better than that crap. It saddens me when I think about how far his song writing skills have fallen.

MUSICOLOGY is by far the weakest overall album he's ever put out. Aside from the title track, there isn't ANYTHING else on the album I look forward to hearing. Boring melodies, awful beats, and re-hashed ideas. After many years being a Prince fan and looking forward to all his new releases, I couldn't believe it when I heard MUSICOLOGY! Nor could I believe how wildly wrong the critics were about how good it was.

I've never had that problem with "Sister" but I have had a similar problem with the "Parade" album. I know tons of people that used to be into Prince heavily but this album drove them away for good because it had classical music on it. I hear from people all the time...."Does Prince still do that nerdy classical shit?" I have no problem with people saying that because it pissed me off when he did it also. I simply respond by saying "He still does every now and then and he's even done dull accoustical stuff and tired ass rap since then. I agree that he lost his damn mind after "Purple Rain" but he still puts out jams every now and then when he wants to". I've found that if you agree with something the non-fans are saying, don't be afraid to tell them. It shows them that even though you are a Prince fan, you are still an individual yourself with your own tastes and dislikes instead of just what Prince's are. Andy is a four letter word.

I have three P albums that I just cannot stand:
The Rainbow Children-I know this album has it's backers but I just don't get it. I have listened to it numerous times, tried to figure out what the hell was going on in his purple brain and...nada. It's pretentious, the jazz is decidely unjazzy, and it lacks creativity on all levels. I truly though the man had lost it after this one. NewPowerSoul-I don't care what people say about this being an NPG project, the buck stops with the man poorly drawn on the cover. It sounds like the work of someone who crammed the night before to be exactly like Prince. They studied every album, tried to diagnose the funk, and then when the big exam came, they fell asleep through it. This is Designer Imposter Prince. And my least least favorite: Chaos and Disorder-This one because I hate the whole tone of it. It just reeks or contract filler and, wheras I kind of understand P. wanting to say "f--k you" to the label that I felt wronged him, he didn't have to say it to the fans too. Ugly stuff that should have remained in the vault. Contains one of his worst songs ever, "Right the Wrong", which, incidentally, didn't get righted and stayed very, very wrong. All good things they say never last...
